Chapter 17: Crying Nascent Soul. [16]

Summary

Wang Wei endures a tormenting cycle as Mi Xiao Jing, a young boy, chants True Words every night, preventing Wang Wei from resting or advancing his cultivation. Despite his exhaustion, Wang Wei finds a glimmer of hope when Mi Xiao Jing inadvertently absorbs Qianyang Purple Qi, which stabilizes Wang Wei's nearly collapsing Nascent Soul. However, this relief is short-lived as Mi Xiao Jing's relentless chanting resumes, pushing Wang Wei to the brink of despair. While Wang Wei struggles to cultivate and survive, Mi Xiao Jing thrives, gathering herbs and improving his own cultivation. Wang Wei's only wish is for Mi Xiao Jing to take a nap, but for ten days, he remains restless, leaving Wang Wei trapped in a cycle of torment.
