Summary

Yue Chen collects a red phosphorus flower, unaware of a black mist emerging from the lake. He communicates with Ke Yu, realizing he can harvest local treasures without needing to join Yang Xiao. He offers Barbara a ride back to the city, but she prefers to stay by the lake. As he departs, Barbara wonders if he is a deity, and Teresa agrees. Suddenly, grotesque tentacles emerge from the lake, causing panic. Yue Chen saves Barbara and Teresa by suspending them in the air. He then effortlessly defeats a giant squid that threatens them, altering their perception of his power.
