Summary

A massive stone stele, the Soul-Capturing Stele, appears ordinary but possesses a chilling power that threatens to extract souls. Yue Li Gu, sensing danger, urges the group to retreat. Despite their efforts, a black light emanates from the stele, drawing their souls. Yue Li Gu suspects the stele's true purpose is to use them to escape rather than to capture their souls. He deduces that the Soul-Capturing Stele may actually be a Soul-Restraining Stele, designed to trap them and manipulate their strength. This realization prompts a critical reevaluation of their strategy, as attacking the stele could aid their captor's escape.
