Summary

In Xinquan Village, the night is serene, filled with the croaking of frogs. Shen Jiao dreams of her grandfather, who appears as an immortal, causing her to wake up joyfully. Her grandfather, Shen Jia Xing, teases her about her dream while preparing breakfast with Zhu Si Ya. After their meal, Han Qi Xiu invites Shen Jiao to the fields to catch loaches and eels, and they run off together, leaving Qi Hua Rong feeling jealous of Shen Jiao's beauty and attention from Han Qi Xiu. Qi Hua Rong tries to maintain her composure as she heads to the river to wash clothes, engaging in conversation with local women who discuss Shen Jiao's beauty. Meanwhile, Shen Jiao and Han Qi Xiu arrive at the rice fields, where other village children are already playing.
