Summary

Zhuo Yuanjiu, the son of the Governor, meets Pei Zi Yun, who reveals he is being hunted. Zhuo, unaware of the situation, expresses concern over Pei's intentions. Pei explains the necessity of killing a prison officer involved in the pursuit against him, using the Tai Zi's authority to intimidate Zhuo. After a confrontation, Pei successfully completes a mission and realizes his supernatural abilities are enhancing. He then recites a poem, impressing Zhuo, who offers him a safe retreat. Pei reflects on gaining prestige and the challenges of publicizing his achievements while considering his future in the midst of danger.
