Summary

Jia Huan, Jia Lian, Jia Lan, and Jia Cong return to the Jia family, greeted by Lin Zhixiao's wife and others, celebrating Jia Huan's exam success. Anticipation fills the hall as Jia Huan enters, receiving respect from family and servants alike. His sister, Tan Chun, feels emotional seeing him return. Jia Huan acknowledges everyone, including Yuan Yang, and maintains a composed demeanor. He kneels to pay respects to Jia Mu, who is pleased, misinterpreting his intentions as reconciliation. Jia Huan, however, plans to settle old scores before leaving, intending to take his maids with him, showing he is not interested in mending ties with the family.
