Summary

Chen San San and the paper person Little Hong returned to Old Knife's funeral shop after a tiring day. Little Hong resumed her paper form at the door while Chen San San, exhausted, drank tea and recounted an odd encounter with a woman who seemed dangerous. Little Hong, familiar with Li City, guided him to a department store. Despite feeling watched, Chen San San followed her up to the second floor where they selected bags and stationery. He criticized Little Hong for not knowing about school supplies, but she remained curious. Suddenly, a woman in a red dress asked to exchange money, catching Chen San San off guard.
