Summary

Ye Jun Qing attempts to persuade Yao Mo Wan to join him against their common enemy, but she refuses. Meanwhile, Ye Zi Xiao tries to reconcile with his wife, Duan Zi Rou, who is hurt by his ambitions for the throne. She decides to leave and become a nun to avoid being a burden. As she departs, she is ambushed by assassins. Despite her pleas for her loyal servant Zhao Wu to escape, she sacrifices herself by jumping off a cliff to protect him and Ye Zi Xiao. Upon discovering her disappearance, Ye Zi Xiao is devastated, vowing to find her attackers and avenge her.
