Summary

The dawn broke with sunshine after a night of rain, as the protagonist waited outside a tavern for their lord. Amidst a tense atmosphere with soldiers checking citizens at the city gate, the tavern girl expressed her determination to wait for the protagonist. Disguised as a soldier, the protagonist sought to meet Lord Hu to negotiate for his official seal and two women in exchange for silver. However, upon revealing his intentions, Lord Hu ordered his men to capture the protagonist. A confrontation ensued, with the protagonist drawing his sword, forcing the constables back, and challenging Lord Hu to either negotiate or face dire consequences.
