The Heroic Journey Across the World.
Chapter 16: Lighthouse Country (Part 1). [164]
Summary
Hao Qi returned from the Anti-Violence Alliance after an astonishing night journey of nearly 4,000 kilometers, unnoticed by the suicide soldiers monitoring the courtyard. Following the death of Tan Tong, a powerful figure, the Anti-Violence Alliance decided to withdraw their soldiers, leading to a complete retreat of all factions. This strategic withdrawal left Zhang Heng and Lan Ling Er unharmed, as Lan Ling Er had predicted. The once-mighty Anti-Violence Alliance began to fade into silence, with noble families retreating towards the Iron Mountain Republic, a legendary nation in the eastern Blue Sea. Five hundred years ago, the Iron Mountain Republic was a feudal society where a great hero emerged from humble beginnings. This hero achieved inner strength and sparked a revolution that liberated slaves and serfs, creating a grassroots movement for freedom and enlightenment. His revolutionary path faced challenges as he judged the oppressive noble families, released the freed slaves to pursue their desires, and educated those willing to learn. However, the resulting chaos led to a depraved revelry among the liberated, as they became increasingly reckless and violent, believing they had the protection of the hero. The upper-class families, though weakened, still posed a threat, leading to a cycle of violence and retaliation.Full content
