Summary

In the 0986 star region, Mu Pu star is not the home planet of the Mu Pu people but was occupied by them over time. The Mu Pu people are now a minority within the Empire, facing challenges in political and military advancement, with fewer gaining citizenship each year. Despite some privileges, such as the ability to enforce traditional laws on certain planets, they are often overlooked by security agencies, allowing gangs to persist. Yue Chen, visiting the Mu Pu people's space city, admires its beauty and ancient traditions while sensing a connection between the Mu Pu and Huaxia ethnic groups on Earth. He meets Inada Kazuichi, the president of the Inada Trading Company, and his son Nozomi, who are interested in forming a business relationship with him. They discuss quotas and profits regarding the distribution of the high-demand marijuana "Dream of a Thousand Nights," which has become scarce due to recent customs updates. The situation is expected to change as new smuggling technologies emerge over time.
