Summary

An old man, a retired soldier, forcibly escorts a plump aunt out of a place to prevent her from causing trouble, threatening to call the police if she misbehaves again. The plump aunt is furious but unable to resist his strength. She tries to manipulate her daughter-in-law by threatening divorce, which prompts the frail woman to kneel and plead for her mother-in-law's mercy. The gatekeeper, witnessing the scene, ultimately decides to let them leave. The plump aunt storms off, angry at her daughter-in-law, who fears punishment at home. Meanwhile, Su Qi, an indifferent observer, reflects on the woman's situation, believing it is a result of her own choices. A new patient, Huang Da Zhi, enters, seeking help for his severely swollen mother who cannot move. Su Qi insists on seeing the patient in person to provide a proper diagnosis. Huang Da Zhi then requests Su Qi to visit their home to examine his mother.
