Summary

Yu Du Xiu reflects on the bandit leader, Sun Chi, whose tough skin hints at supernatural abilities. Despite his own powers, Yu Du Xiu feels isolated in a sect plagued by infighting. He offers Sun Chi a chance for loyalty, using a black lotus to bind him. Sun Chi, fearing for his life, agrees. Yu Du Xiu commands him to gather the bandit's plundered wealth to establish a dojo. The bandits, terrified yet compliant, present vast riches. Yu Du Xiu plans to use this fortune for his dojo, while Sun Chi shares his tragic past and ties to the Governor of Gunzhou. Yu Du Xiu advises him to cultivate peacefully, sealing their pact of silence.
