Summary

The story follows a ship crew encountering a massive sea monster - an enormous octopus - during a foggy voyage. The crew attempts to fight the creature using harpoons, but their efforts only agitate it. Guang Zhi, an apprentice from Bait Island, jumps into the sea and defeats the octopus, bringing back a huge tentacle. After returning to land, they distribute money to sailors' families and continue their journey to Master Fang's sect. At the sect, Gui Bu Gui inquires about techniques for bringing people back to life, revealing a mysterious underlying purpose to their travels.
