Summary

The glowing cocoon dimmed, and after confirming Yi Fan's survival, the Elder sealed the door again, settling into a routine of waiting. One day, a Middle-aged Man in black entered Yongchang County, exuding a chilling aura. He confidently navigated the streets and approached an inn where he spotted a beautiful young woman, Lu Miao Ling, who was unfazed by the attention she received. Their reunion revealed a playful dynamic, with the Middle-aged Man teasing her about her affections for a young man from Jiutianmen. Lu Miao Ling expressed her determination to confront this young man, who had been hiding at Putian Temple for over a year. The Middle-aged Man advised her to wait two more days before returning with him, concerned for her safety in tumultuous times. Meanwhile, at Putian Temple, two monks, Fa Long and Fa Hao, engaged in light-hearted banter while a small white fox caused a commotion, prompting several monks to chase after it.
