Summary

Pei Hang Jian, now disguised as a young man, is tasked with capturing Yuan Jun but fails when Wei Chi Gong and his cavalry arrive just in time to rescue Yuan Jun from an ambush. After a fierce confrontation, Pei Hang Jian is left frustrated as Yuan Jun escapes. Later, Pei Hang Jian reports his failure to the family head, Pei Ju, who expresses regret but recognizes the strategic implications of Zhang Xuan's actions in taking Yuan Jun. Pei Ju sees potential in Zhang Xuan and hopes to turn him into an ally rather than an enemy. Meanwhile, Zhang Xuan visits Pei Ju to seek guidance, subtly apologizing for past misunderstandings.
