Summary

The chapter follows a white jade butterfly that has been reborn after gathering immense power and wisdom from the past. Initially, the butterfly frantically searches for its beloved, only to find remnants of loss and despair. It lands on a paper umbrella belonging to the one it cherishes, hoping for her return. However, as ants swarm it, the butterfly exhausts itself trying to protect the umbrella. Eventually, it resigns to its fate, absorbing vitality from a grand formation until it transforms into Bai Shao, the husband of the deceased. Bai Shao, filled with sorrow, mourns her loss and expresses regret for her waiting. He plans to venture to Changsheng Mountain, a dangerous place, to attempt to bring her back. Gu Xiu, witnessing Bai Shao's determination, offers support and a mysterious finger bone that may aid in their quest. Bai Shao departs with resolve, leaving Gu Xiu to reflect on the events as the grand formation comes to a halt.
