Summary

Wu Ming, after days of racing, finds himself in a misty mountain range and discovers a dilapidated temple. Inside, he encounters a frightened boy named Ushiwakamaru, who reveals a headless samurai's corpse. As Wu Ming investigates, a Celestial Hound emerges, transforming from a deity statue. Wu Ming summons lightning to defeat the monster, while Ushiwakamaru recalls traumatic memories of loss. After the battle, Wu Ming offers to take Ushiwakamaru under his wing, revealing the boy's noble heritage linked to the Xu Zuo family. Despite the boy's reluctance to return home, Wu Ming plans to guide him, aware of the potential dangers surrounding the boy's lineage and inherited treasures.
