Summary

Yi Di anxiously awaits news in his southern study while an assassination plot against Dayu unfolds. After a long night of worry, he learns that the assassination has failed. The officer informs him of heavy guarding around the palace, indicating the plot's failure and the perilous situation of the Lang Wei Fu Chang Guan. Yi Di, feeling sorrowful about the situation, decides to distance himself from the plot by claiming ignorance and orders punishment for the Lang Wei Fu members involved. He later meets with the Tai Shi, who reveals that the Lang Wei Fu's actions will implicate Yi Di, and advises him to take responsibility to avoid further complications with Dayu. Yi Di agrees and plans to seek an audience with Dayu to clarify the situation and advocate for himself.
