Summary

In the autumn of the 7th year of Han Yuande, Wang Wei, commander of Hangu Pass, anxiously awaited the arrival of the tyrant Liu Rong, King of Huai Nan. Known for his cruelty and foolishness, Liu Rong had been terrorizing counties on his journey to Chang'an, demanding resources without payment and punishing officials at will.
