Summary

In Chapter 256, the Straw Hat Pirates arrive at Water 7, where they plan to renovate their ship, the Going Merry. However, they soon hear about a terrifying figure known as the Blood Demon, who has been killing pirates indiscriminately. As panic ensues among the pirates at the dock, the Straw Hat crew, particularly Luffy, expresses interest in confronting this new threat. The Blood Demon, Uchiha Fei Yu, appears, having gained powers from the Vampire Fruit, and begins to wreak havoc, summoning blood bats that slaughter many pirates. The Straw Hat trio, initially overwhelmed, are ultimately attacked by Uchiha Fei Yu, who drains their blood and intends to turn them into blood servants, enhancing their powers in the process. After this encounter, they are left disheartened by the realization of the formidable opponent they face.
