Summary

Gu Xiu stands at the entrance of a cave, holding a wooden stick, while Ye Hong Ling observes him with growing curiosity. He instructs her to attack him, which she reluctantly agrees to, feeling a strange trust in him despite his lower cultivation level. As they sense danger from three approaching cultivators outside, Gu Xiu remains calm and challenges them to enter the cave. The first of the three, a seventh-level Qi Refinement cultivator, rushes in but is unexpectedly killed by Gu Xiu, who appears unaffected. Ye Hong Ling is shocked by Gu Xiu's sudden lethal prowess and realizes that he has eliminated another opponent outside without her noticing. As Gu Xiu rummages through the bodies for items, Ye Hong Ling grapples with the absurdity of how easily the powerful cultivators were defeated.
