Summary

Ling Fu, terrified, retreats while shouting at Li Xiao Ling, who taunts him about the secret technique that allowed soldiers to approach silently. Ling Fu's forces are heavily diminished, with many casualties, while Li Xiao Ling's elite troops gain the upper hand. Chu Tian, observing the situation, is confronted by Zhao Xiao Wei, who blocks his escape and reveals his allegiance to the governor. Despite the tension, Chu Tian requests to witness Ling Fu's demise before Zhao Xiao Wei acts. Ling Fu defiantly challenges Li Xiao Ling, while the latter expresses concern about potential reinforcements from the Ling or Chu families. Meanwhile, a young man named Chu Jie, residing in a fortified estate, learns of the conflict and dismisses the Ling family's attempts to leverage their relationship, plotting to let Ling Fu's forces perish without intervention.
