Summary

Arthur awakens to find Mikasa by his side, relieved he survived. Both are traumatized by the loss of Mikasa's parents, Carl and Yumiko, killed by robbers. Arthur feels guilty for not being strong enough to save them. He discovers Yumiko is still alive but gravely injured. As he tries to bandage her wounds, she urges him to care for Mikasa. Yumiko dies after hearing Arthur call her "Mom," leaving him heartbroken. Mikasa, feeling lost, is comforted by Arthur, who vows to protect her and create a new family with her. Together, they find hope in each other, determined to move forward despite their tragic losses.
