Summary

The narrative then shifts to the distant future, where artificial beings transmit human data to the moon after humanity's extinction in 4200. By 5012, extraterrestrials invade Earth, prompting the creation of the YoRHa Project by artificial beings to mask their failure to protect humanity. In 11942, the advanced 9S model is deployed, while 2E monitors him under the guise of 2B. The main story begins in 11945 with 2B and 9S on a mission, but the "Logic Virus" spreads due to a leak, ultimately leading to 2B's demise at the hands of A2. The Logic Virus, akin to an internet virus, infects YoRHa units, stripping them of autonomy and causing chaos. Treatment exists, but the virus evolved to an untreatable state by 11945. Cha Bai, infected during an encounter, faces the challenge of overcoming the virus and her past. The narrative emphasizes her journey toward becoming human and confronting her vulnerabilities while hinting at a transformative rebirth.
