Summary

Xiao Kang and Guo Cui Er discover the corpse of Ye Wei, who perished while battling a fifth-tier magical beast, alongside its remains. With only three people left, the duo speculates on the fate of Lin Mei, who may be in danger with her unreliable companions. Deciding to reach the Pill Pavilion, they hurry through the night. Encountering a battle between two martial artists and a swarm of Burrowing Poison Moths, they recognize the fighters as members of the Free Gate. Despite Guo Cui Er's hesitations, Xiao Kang insists on helping them to foster a good relationship. As they approach, they clarify their intentions and join the fray.
