Summary

A 15-16 year old boy defends his grandfather from a cruel young man of the Silver Wing Family, who attacks them with a whip. Despite being injured, the boy remains resolute. Nie Li intervenes, stopping the attack and expressing disdain for the Silver Wing Family's inhumanity. He learns about the boy and grandfather's slave status, which includes a deadly blood mark that prevents escape. Nie Li injects a technique into the boy's mind, hoping it will help him in the future. After apologizing to the young man, Nie Li leaves but feels anger towards the Silver Wing Family. He secretly inscribes powerful markings in the trees of their territory over ten days. Later, Nie Li teaches Xiao Ning Er about hidden acupuncture points, but their moment is interrupted by Lu Piao, who informs them that the Radiant Stone has been found. Si Kong Yi offers to help Nie Li gather herbs for an antidote, suggesting a marriage proposal for his daughter, Hong Yue, which Nie Li finds unappealing.
