Summary

A shadow emerged from the blood mist, revealing a bat-like creature with massive wings. Yang Xiao warned of its speed, and an attack was made, but the creature evaded by turning into smoke. Yang Xiao used frost fog to trap it, yet the bat escaped again. Despite their efforts, the bat was ultimately struck down by a cursed sword, collapsing into a humanoid form. After confirming the bat's demise, they prepared to bury it but were interrupted by Sun Pang Zi's call to check on the old monk, who was nearing death. The monk expressed a final wish to have a book burned on his grave, and after some emotional exchanges, he passed away, prompting plans for a temporary burial.
