Summary

Two disciples from the Danxi Sect face overwhelming terror in a hurricane, leading to the brutal death of a female disciple as her head explodes. The male disciple, horrified, pleads for mercy but is killed by Bai Xiao Chun, who is revealed to be a formidable figure from the Lingxi Sect. After collecting the body of his own disciple, Zhou You Dao, Bai Xiao Chun examines the Danxi Sect's records about himself, noting their inaccuracies. As he departs, several other sect disciples, including Fang Lin and Lei Shan, sense the aftermath of his power and speculate about his identity. Over the next few days, Bai Xiao Chun gathers Geomantic Qi by defeating elusive Geomantic Beasts. He realizes he needs a method to attract these beasts more efficiently. After capturing a large, ferocious beast, he begins studying it to develop a spirit medicine that could draw more of them to him. His obsession with research leads him to capture and dissect multiple beasts, becoming increasingly disheveled and deranged in his pursuit of knowledge. Eventually, he encounters a giant earth vein bear attacking disciples of the Blood Stream Sect and intervenes, raising curiosity among the attackers about his true strength.
