Summary

Su Qing Jun returns to the Flying Goose Platform cave dwelling at Ziyun Peak, where Lu Chen is preparing a spiritual field with hawthorn trees for her cultivation. They discuss the importance of the hawthorn and Lu Chen assures her of his commitment to care for it. Su Qing Jun promises a reward for his efforts and agrees to stay in the cave for the next twenty days for cultivation. Meanwhile, He Yi walks towards the eerie Nameless Mountain, home to the Yizhong, a place for the deceased. He visits the Yizhong to check on He Chang Sheng's corpse, encountering a mysterious and unsettling corpse keeper. The atmosphere is dark and heavy, with the keeper revealing that the recently deceased have rooms with candlelight, while the long-dead are in dark rooms. He Yi learns that the keeper's hand is wooden, leading to an awkward but respectful interaction. He Yi is curious about He Chang Sheng's death as he approaches the designated room.
