Summary

In the royal city, people are enjoying a vibrant night, temporarily forgetting their worries amidst the ongoing battles of Great Xia. Ning Chen and Mingyue visit flower boats, where they participate in poetry challenges. Ning Chen solves a couplet, impressing the crowd, and they move to the next boat. The second challenge is a poetry topic, "Feng Hua Not Seen!", which Ning Chen answers with a five-character quatrain. They pass the challenge and move to the next boat, where they face an article-writing challenge. Mingyue writes a neatly written article, and they pass, becoming the first to qualify for the grand flower boat. Inside, they find nobility figures and private rooms. The event is a selection for the Oiran, and the atmosphere is filled with anticipation. A zither melody sounds, and the crowd falls silent. Ning Chen and Mingyue enjoy the music, and the little girl comments on its beauty. They eat and wait for the event to start, watching as ten women in blue embroidered garments dance elegantly to the zither's melody.
