Summary

In this chapter, Platinum is captured and subjected to interrogation by a man in a gas mask, who seems to know about her past and injects her with a serum. As she struggles to remember her past and the events that led her to become “Platinum,” flashbacks reveal her confrontation with a former version of herself in an abandoned warehouse. During this confrontation, she chooses not to kill a terrified girl, realizing that living for oneself is not the same as running away from responsibility. Back in the present, Platinum is tortured for information by the terrifying Lapis Lazuli Lord, who has brutal intentions and threatens the lives of others if she doesn't comply. Just as she is about to meet her grim fate, the rescue arrives in the form of Orson, who managed to track her down using clues she left behind. Despite Orson's haste and bravery, they are cornered by two Lapis Lazuli at the exit as the alarms blare, setting up a tense confrontation where Orson is ready to fight to free Platinum. The chapter ends with a sense of hope mingled with despair, as Platinum feels joy and gratitude for Orson's bravery even in the face of overwhelming odds.
