Summary

In Chapter 140, titled "Kingdom Assassin," Johnny, Jieluo, and Jon engage in lessons about their stand-in abilities while traveling through the desert. They encounter Manden. Tim, an assassin who recognizes them as the murderers of the Fen Fang family. A brief battle ensues, resulting in Manden. Tim being knocked unconscious by Jieluo and Johnny's combined efforts. They decide to spare him, believing he might not be a bad person. Later, they reach the Shady Grove Inn for rest before continuing their journey. Jieluo receives a letter about a 'Hopping Vampire' that can heal injuries and eliminate fatigue. As they discuss their stand-in abilities, Jieluo sings a humorous song, but their banter leads to a comedic fallout. Suddenly, a waiter brings fruit, which contains a bomb triggered by a countdown pin, set to explode and endanger Jieluo and his companions. Oye Ge Mo Ba, the antagonist, reveals his stand-in's explosive capability, leaving the situation tense.
