Summary
The Great Lama, while at the Buddha hall, challenges Lu Wan Nian to a bet involving the whereabouts of a cat, proposing a stake of 300 taels of silver. Lu, intrigued, suggests increasing the bet but hesitates when the Lama demands a look into his "Hama mouth." The woman accompanying Lu proposes a match instead. Meanwhile, William and Sun Dian Chen analyze the situation, realizing the Lama's power over earth spirits. A chilling wind disrupts the atmosphere, prompting the Lama to promise a double offering. Lu, frustrated by the Lama's antics, draws his sword, ceasing the storm, but learns it's past midnight, revealing the Lama's trickery. He accuses the Lama of cheating, but the Lama insists on accepting losses gracefully.Full content
