Summary

On a fateful day in Yan Guo, many officials and commoners perished, leading to a city draped in mourning. An Zheng, awakening in a Ministry of War prison, learns from General Wang Kai Tai that he is suspected of colluding with ghostly beings, a claim deemed absurd. Wang assures An Zheng of his safety and the trust of the Great King. Despite his injuries, An Zheng is relieved to hear his allies are safe. Meanwhile, in the Heavenly Extreme Palace, Yan Wang Mu Chang Yan vehemently defends An Zheng against accusations of treachery, recognizing his vital contributions. Amidst court tensions, the King decides to elevate An Zheng's status, ultimately granting him the title of 3rd Count of Changxin, despite objections from ministers.
