Summary

Fu Jin and Zhang Jin Cheng, both from the same hometown, share a close bond as they raise an army together. Fu Jin, known for his brutality and infamous as the "Child Demon," leads three thousand Wuchang troops in pursuit of the fleeing Sui army. As they chase, Zhang Xuan prepares an ambush with his troops. The ambush is successful, causing chaos among Fu Jin's men. In the ensuing battle, Fu Jin is confronted by Zhang Xuan and is mortally wounded, leading to his own soldiers turning against him. With Fu Jin's death, the morale of his troops collapses, and many surrender. The battle concludes with heavy losses for the rebels, and the Sui cavalry, led by Pei Xingyan, arrives to assist Zhang Xuan.
