Summary

Ji Qian Ming, aboard the Helen, arrives in Brighton, England, feeling the thrill of a new land ahead. The old captain, Old Ryan, informs him about the proximity to London and suggests he take a black cab. After a pirate attack on their journey, they dock, and Ji Qian Ming explores Brighton's festive streets adorned with Christmas decorations. He realizes he has no money for travel or food, complicating his situation as an illegal resident.
