Summary

Lu Chen stands at the door, confronted by the injured A Tu, a small black dog with severe wounds and a trail of blood leading back to its suffering. Despite his hardened heart, he feels a surge of emotion as he lifts A Tu, whose faint green eyes reflect a glimmer of comfort amidst its pain. The scene shifts to a winter peak where True Monarch Bai Chen converses with his young disciple Bai Lian, discussing the talent of her uncle, Tian Lan Shi, while imparting wisdom about imperfection. Lu Chen, in a desperate attempt to save A Tu, contemplates his options but finds none viable. Ultimately, he decides to sacrifice his own blood, thrusting a sword into his wrist to try and save the gravely injured dog.
