Summary
In early November, the Wei Army successfully defended against the Chu army's assault at Yanshui Camp. Chu general Zi Che Yu led a surprise attack with warships on Daliang, but unbeknownst to him, the Wei had constructed a dam to thwart such an approach. Duan Yang, a commander stationed at the dam, felt restless and pondered the purpose of their wait. After months of idleness, he and his soldiers were finally alerted by scouts about the approaching Chu warships. This news sparked excitement among the Wei soldiers, as they anticipated the chance to engage in battle and earn glory for their kingdom.Full content
