Summary

In a small town, emergency responders arrive at a scene where Xia Lei has stabilized Joseph, who was shot. Despite criticism from medical staff, they acknowledge Xia Lei's life-saving actions. A Ni Na, involved in the incident, claims self-defense after killing gang members. After Joseph is taken away, A Ni Na asks Xia Lei to wait for her at her house. Xia Lei, however, plans to sneak into Joseph's warehouse to steal secrets of an advanced machine tool. He retrieves the key from Joseph's home and examines the unfinished machine, realizing its potential. Overwhelmed by exhaustion, he experiences vivid hallucinations of A Ni Na before recovering and discovering blueprints in a safe, which he photographs to send to his associate, Long Bing.
