Summary

Xiao Lu, feeling wronged and hopeful, visits the police station with evidence against Zhao Jing, but is met with disappointment as her recording is deemed insufficient due to lack of direct proof. The police inform her that without compelling evidence, they cannot continue the investigation, especially given Qian Hao's father's influence. Frustrated, Xiao Lu resolves to find evidence herself. Meanwhile, her father is in critical condition after an accident, and her mother urges her to let go of the fight. A call with Wei Ran reveals he has been threatened for helping her. Despite feeling defeated, Xiao Lu seeks solace by the riverside, drinking beer and smoking, contemplating her situation and the futility of giving up.
