Chapter 13: Chu Tian's Counterattack (1). [26]

Summary

Li Xiao Ling, the number one brave man in the Yaozhou army, intervened in a critical moment to save Chu Tian from being pierced by an iron spear. He swung his own iron spear, striking heavily against three iron spears, but was unexpectedly thrown into disarray. Li Xiao Ling realized that the iron spears were the strictly controlled military weapon, the Raging Flames. Seventeen Raging Flames inflicted heavy casualties on the state troops, killing over a hundred soldiers and injuring many more. Li Xiao Ling regrouped his remaining soldiers, directing them to prepare for battle. Chu Tian, who had been watching the scene unfold, muttered to himself about the grand display of the Raging Flames and the potential consequences for Governor Sima. Li Xiao Ling, suspecting that the Ling family was behind the attack, sneered and challenged them to come out of hiding. A large group of elite soldiers clad in dragon-scale armor emerged from the dense forest, standing at the intersection of the official road and the woods.
