Summary

Chen Fan recalls a past assassination attempt involving the Tang brothers, who had also been contracted to kill him. During a casual conversation, he learns from Tang Jiu that two others were also planning to assassinate him but were thwarted. Wu Da and Brother Dao, the would-be assassins, panic and surrender when confronted. They plead for their lives, revealing that their actions were orchestrated by Xu Kui, who had misled them about the target. Chen Fan decides to let them go but demands compensation for his damaged tire. Meanwhile, Zhao Bu Fan, observing the situation, grows suspicious of the assassins' behavior as they seem more focused on repairing a tire than executing their mission. He rushes to find Xu Kui, who is preparing to flee, expressing frustration over the failed assassination attempt.
