Summary

In the Southern Province, Commander Chang Cong Wen oversees an operation to intercept a meteorite. As the countdown progresses, tension builds in the command hall. Despite launching missiles, many fail due to a swarm of mutated insects. The remaining missiles eventually reach space but face challenges from both bugs and a mutated eagle. After a desperate effort, some missiles successfully intercept the meteorite, but it survives. The calculated landing point is revealed to be Zhenzhou, where a catastrophic impact occurs, obliterating the base and its population. In the aftermath, survivors reflect on their lost civilization and the imminent doom they face.
