Summary

Returning to Yinchuan after a trip, the protagonist slips the driver, Old Wang, a large sum for discretion. Two months later, he receives a call from Uncle Liao, urging a meeting. Old Wen picks up Uncle Liao but only returns with a suspicious backpack containing a severed human hand. Panic ensues as they try to identify the hand's owner. The protagonist contacts Dou Ya Zai, who is on his way back but suddenly gets into an accident. A mysterious caller threatens the protagonist, demanding a meeting and revealing they know his secrets, insisting he must disclose the location of a certain object.
