Summary

In the Great Wei court, Emperor Zhao Yuan Si is taken aback when Zhongshu Ling He Xiang Xu requests retirement due to his age. The Emperor suspects the Eighth Prince, Zhao Hong Run, is behind the old minister's sudden plea. The prince, who feigns interest in governance, cleverly avoids confrontation with his father and leaves, promising to return. The next day, despite the Emperor's order barring him from entry, Zhao Hong Run uses wordplay to confuse the guards and gains access to Chui Gong Hall. The Emperor, exasperated by his son's antics, struggles to maintain authority in front of the ministers, highlighting the playful yet chaotic dynamics within the court.
