Summary

Zero encounters a gaseous life form in the mist on a desolate planet, communicating through a unique exchange of intelligence. Despite the mist's intelligence, it lacks external communication and has never been guided by others. Zero, having survived an initial mental attack from the mist, decides to leave the planet, taking a maiden with him. The mist teleports her to a populated area while Zero opts for a desolate planet to restore his energy, aware of a star core within. He plans to collect it without remorse, as the planet is lifeless, and prepares to punch through its surface to access the core.
