Summary

Hao Qi and Zhang Heng decided against boarding the Lan family's submarine due to concerns about surveillance. Hao Qi, having let Lan Qi go, remained cautious about potential repercussions. While Lan Qi healed from his injuries, Hao Qi explored underwater and discovered a massive serpent-like creature beneath the island, confirming its immense size. He devised a plan with Zhang Heng to create a simple diving device using island materials to search for entrances to the creature's body, believing there were multiple entry points due to historical shipwrecks. After preparing their equipment, they dove into the sea from Pirate Island, which was part of the creature's body. They descended to around six hundred meters, taking turns breathing from a makeshift air supply. Exhausted after several hours, they spotted a whirlpool that led to an opening.
