Chapter 119: Retake Songzhou (Part 2). [123]
Summary
The Tibetan generals defending the city of Songzhou were initially confident, thinking the Tang army was weak and only making a fuss. However, the Tang soldiers suddenly used small ceramic pots that exploded, producing a thunderous boom, killing and injuring many Tibetan soldiers. The Tibetan soldiers were terrified, thinking they were fighting against the gods. The Tang army took advantage of the situation, throwing more ceramic pots, causing widespread destruction and panic among the Tibetan soldiers. The city gates were blown open, and the Tang cavalry and infantry entered the city, quickly defeating the Tibetan soldiers. The Tibetan leaders surrendered, and the city of Songzhou was reclaimed by the Tang army.
