Summary

Mo Wuji, after witnessing Mu Ying's charisma, decides to find her later for an exchange involving the precious blood lotus. He encounters Yin Qian Yin, who expresses concern for him, and Medicinal Pill Master Qu, who disapproves of Mo Wuji. An argument ensues, drawing attention from others, including Mu Ying. Mo Wuji tells a story to illustrate that perceptions can be misleading, which helps change Mu Ying's opinion of him. He admits to killing Meng Bao Yu in self-defense after the latter attempted to steal a precious blood lotus. The crowd becomes interested in the lotus, with Mu Ying asking about its whereabouts. Qu Fei Yang, feeling threatened by Mo Wuji's control of the situation, expresses his disdain. Mu Ying then inquires about Mo Wuji's background, leading him to reveal his royal lineage and expertise in alchemy, which impresses the crowd.
